It has been an exciting start to the week here at SLD Logistics as our new Scania R560 officially hit the road for its first job. Freshly added to the fleet, this unit has already proven its capability with a run down from Peterhead after collecting a load of refined rapeseed oil from a local seafood processing facility.

Operating out of one of the UK’s key coastal hubs, this first journey reflects the type of specialist work we regularly undertake. Transporting food-grade liquids requires careful handling, clean equipment, and a reliable vehicle, all of which the new R560 delivers with confidence. Built for efficiency and performance, it is a strong addition to our tanker fleet and supports our commitment to dependable nationwide haulage.

This first outing also marks an important milestone for the vehicle itself. Registration W800 SLD is now officially on the road, representing both our continued investment in modern equipment and our dedication to maintaining high standards across every job we take on.

From Scotland to destinations further south, our drivers and vehicles work hard to keep supply chains moving. The R560 is already settling into service and will play a key role in supporting our operations moving forward.
